I’ve always enjoyed reading about some of famous men and women of God who have gone on before, getting to know a bit more about them and their day to day lives helps to bring them a bit closer. At the same time, I’ve felt somewhat limited in my knowledge and without the time I would like to have to read and know more about them. So when I saw this book it was just perfect with short, one page stories of Christians down through the ages – some famous, some not so well known but giving their lives for the Lord and for their faith none the less.
I have enjoyed this book very much. It has a one page selected reading for each day of the year, with a Bible verse that goes along with the main idea of the story. I’ve used this as an addition to my family’s time of daily devotions and read through the other pages myself. I enjoy the fact that it looks for and writes about stories and situations which may not be the most well known, so this makes it quite attractive. It’s very easy reading, easy to understand and enjoyable overall.
