I just had the chance to review “Strike it Rich with Pocket Change” by Ken Potter and Dr. Brian Allen and found it very interesting. This is the updated 3rd edition.
If you are interested in the topic of collecting coins and taking a bit of time to try your hand at studying the coins that pass through your change purse to see if you come across any that could be worth a bit more, this may catch your attention as well! For me as a beginner, I thought it was great and I’m never going to look at pocket change the same again!
For those who know a bit more about the subject since I’m just learning about the subject, I know there are other books out there on the same topic. But this is a great one to get you started. It was a pretty easy read, and most of the book consists of the pages that go through some of the different coins that have been discovered to have some sort of printing error or imperfections which can make them worth much more than meets the eye.
